Can you put a ceramic teapot on the stove?

You should not put your ceramic teapot on the stove. Ceramic teapots are not made to withstand that kind of heat and are not made to heat up your water. For heating up water for your tea it is best to use a kettle or saucepan. If you wish to heat up your ceramic teapot it is recommended to use hot water for it. Whether that is from the tap/ faucet, or the stovetop is up to you.

How do you use ceramic teapots?

Ceramic Teapots are made to steep and serve your tea. To use it properly, start by making sure it is clean. Then, go ahead and heat up your water with a kettle or saucepan. You can warm up your teapot prior to steeping with hot or warm water, whether from the faucet or stovetop as well (Just be careful with really hot water). Now, you can put your tea bags or tea leaves into your teapot, pour your now hot water over that and let it steep for desired time. Steeping can be anywhere from 3 to 15 minutes; it's all based on preference. You can remove your teabags and leaves, pour and serve from your ceramic teapot.

Is a ceramic teapot good?

Ceramic teapots have long been around and used by people for thousands of years. Obviously, just because that is the case doesn't always mean they are good, however, in this case I would argue they are. Ceramic teapots are a simple, effective and economical choice when it comes to teapots. Widely available and used for a long time make it a great candidate in your search for a good teapot. These hold heat well and have been rooted in tea drinker's tradition for a long time. Simply put, there's not anything quite like it.

How to clean ceramic teapot?

One of the simplest ways to clean your ceramic teapot is to use a cup of vinegar with four tablespoons of baking soda. This ensures that the clay and ceramic will not absorb any chemicals or soaps that can affect taste and is plain just not good to ingest. Starting with vinegar and baking soda, fill your teapot halfway with warm/ hotter water. You can let this sit for a few as it is going to remove some tea stains. Next using plastic or sponge scrubber, scrub away in the teapot, making sure to get into all the nooks and crannies. If you have a smaller teapot, you can use a brush for it. After scrubbing, you can pour the solution out and rinse with clean tap water. During this process, continue scrubbing/ rinsing until bubbles subside and water rinses away clear. You can air dry or use a clean dish towel to dry.
