      Duerr's Blackcurrant Preserves

Posted by J. William MacDonald on Oct 9th 2020

When growing up, I used to have blackcurrant preserves while my grandmother was living with us. I think my uncle would ship it to her from Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. I could find red currant jelly in the grocers, but no blackcurrant. I am happy to have found it again.

I use this product to make Lion per Torte cookies. These are the best black current preserves I have tasted.
