Dark Cherry TEA CHEST WITH TEA - TAYLORS OF HARROGATE'S SELECTION #1

"I was excited to purchase the tea chest with tea for my boss as a Christmas gift. When it arrived, I was completely disappointed with the poor quality of the dark cherry tea chest. There was a large scratch along the front of the chest, the top did not sit flush with the bottom, edges looked damaged, the sliding button to open it looked worn and very used, it was difficult to open, and the inside top showed glue seeping out along the edges. This is not suitable to give as a gift. I emailed customer service and received no response. I called them and was told they are busy due to the holidays, and I could not return the order because tea is a good item. I spent $50 on a useless, poorly crafted box I cannot gift?! This was not my error, but theirs. The rep instructed me to email photos and explain and I may pay return shipping to send the chest back without the tea, to receive a refund on the chest only. I have to pay to return their poorly crafted product? I'm going to gift a bunch of tea bags held together by rubber bands without a chest?! I have no other choice, so I emailed the next day. No response. Terrible quality product and lacking customer service. I will never ship here again and I will let everyone know about my experience so this does not happen to them."

Love the USA box. Not so much the slide latch.

"I love the tea and the USA made box. I received the light wood one as a gift, but it's more of a medium wood and is just beautiful. I do not like the slide latch. It came scratched up and it doesn't work. I had to remove the latch, spray WD-40 in it for it to even move. Then it's hard to open the box while trying to slide the latch to the left. I would have preferred to receive the other latch that is much easier to open and gives you a little handle to pull open the box. So, it's a good deal and the price is right, but I have to say the hard to open latch on the USA box takes a star off for quality and price. It feels cheap and it's hard to open. Also, why is it so scratched up? No cover protector came over the hardware. Other than the latch, it's perfect and so is the tea selection. I drink decaffinated tea, so would love to see Earl Grey decaf in there. Otherwise, I highly recommend this tea box, just not the USA latch. I'll probably replace the latch."
