Flavor Profile Irish Breakfast

Details

Our Irish Breakfast Loose Leaf Tea is a commanding, full-bodied blend engineered for those who demand an intense morning cup. It pours a magnificent, deep coppery-red liquor with a syrupy mouthfeel and a penetrating malty base. This stout, robust blend is designed to hold its own against milk, making it the ultimate morning awakening.

Why You’ll Love This Blend

  • Dual-Origin Power: We combine the malty strength of 2nd Flush Assam with the crisp, botanical brightness of Kenyan BP1 teas.
  • Perfect for Milk: Its robust structure is crafted to cut through cream and dairy, softening the tea's natural astringency into a smooth, savory treat.
  • Energizing Character: Naturally high in antioxidants and medium-caffeine, it provides the steady focus you need for a busy morning.

The Irish Breakfast Difference

True Irish Breakfast tea is about intensity. By sourcing Kenyan "Broken Pekoe" (BP1) leaves, we ensure that every steep releases a vivid, bright color and a complex, brisk flavor. When paired with the heavy malt notes of Assam, the result is a tea that is assertive, balanced, and immensely satisfying.

Cookies on website?

"I have been buying from the English Tea Store for years. This time it asked if I wanted cookies. Not the tracking type that are often associated with web sites but honest-to-God buttery short bread cookies. I said no. I filled out all information for my order and submitted my order. When I looked at it after submitting it, I saw it had included cookies but the price was the same as just for the tea. I assumed they were just including a complementary small pack of cookies. Then, an hour later I got notice that $0. 50 more had been charged to my credit card. I assumed the cookies were a decent size box at a good discount. When I received my tea, there were my cookies. Two - 2 - simple little cookies in a package. It was the type of package you would see a vendor handing out as samples in a store. Why? Why add it to my order despite my request not to? Why charge me $0. 50 after the fact? I’ll still buy from English Tea Store but I think they need to look at what Online Sales (or whoever the company is that bills and ships for them) is doing to their reputation. As always, I love the Irish Breakfast Tea."

Irish breakfast tea review

"I like the sharp bite from the irish breakfast. Don't have a negative opinion of the cut of the tea but would prefer whole leaf cut."

Love! Love! Love!

"Please tell me that you re not discontinuing this tea. It’s the only brand that I will drink. It has well rounded flavor and color. This and your English Breakfast are the only ones I drink. I’m not sure where I’ll turn to if you really are discontinuing it"
