Imported from the UK, Frank Cooper's is a brand for real marmalade connoisseurs. Inspired by the original Sarah Jane Cooper's 1874 recipe, this vintage marmalade is made using a dark, seriously intense coarse cut Seville orange marmalade.

Carrying as it does the Royal Warrant, Frank Cooper's marmalade has been standard fare at British embassies the world over. The Queen herself also admits to enjoying Frank Cooper's at breakfast.

"As an American, I grew up with that bright, thermonuclear glow-in-the dark sort of marmalade that is so sweet it makes your molars ache. I was happy whenever I found the stuff with generous orange rinds included. While browsing through The English Tea Store's website several years back, I saw a jar of Cooper's blackstrap-molasses-dark marmalade, chock full of Seville oranges and ordered a jar out of simple curiosity. On buttered toast? Perfection—savory, sweet, with a pleasant edge of bitterness. Earlier this year I went online to buy more, only to find the coarse-cut Coopers was out of stock. So I ordered Duerr's Coarse Cut. No comparison, though better than ""meh. "" Though I dutifully ate it. Now there is always a jar of Coopers Coarse Cut in my kitchen. Nothing else comes close!"
