First time trying English Tea Store's Blue Suede Shoes Green Loose Leaf Tea?
Try our Sample Size of 1 ounce.- Contents loose leaf tea net weight 4 ounces
- Contents loose leaf tea net weight 16 ounces (1 pound)
Ingredients: Green tea, Rosehip + Blue Pea flowers + Blue Cornflower petals, Hawthorne fruit, Natural flavors
Caffeine content: Low - This tea contains natural caffeine found in the L. Camellia Sinensis family. A cup of green tea steeped in boiled water for 5 minutes will contain between 22 to 29 milligrams of caffeine. An equal sized cup of coffee will contain between 80 - 100 milligrams of caffeine. Caffeine quickly becomes soluble in very hot water. If you wish to reduce the caffeine level in this tea, briefly rinsing the tea leaves in extremely hot water will reduce the caffeine content between 25-50% with only a minor effect on taste.
Antioxidant Content: High - The longer you steep your tea the more polyphenols will be extracted. (Test results based on 5 minutes steeping time. Polyphenol percentages may fluctuate with lot, grade of tea, testing method, temperature of water and freshness of tea). More antioxidants are extracted from tea (L. Camellia Sinesis) the longer it is brewed. And the more tea is used, the greater the antioxidant benefit.

Blue Suede Shoes
At first I wasn't sure about this tea, but after a few cups the flavor grew on me and I now crave it every morning. I pre make my tea bags in bunches when my fingers aren't hurting from arthritis. I like mixing 1/2 and 1/2 Blue Suede Shoes and Green Yerba Mate. I didn't care for the Green Yerba Mate on it's own, but mixed with BSS's it really makes an exciting flavor I usually drink until about 3:00pm. I then switch over to Earl Grey Cream, or 1/2 and 1/2 Earl Grey Cream and Versailles Lavender Earl Grey Tea. Blue Suede Shoes has become a regular buy for me, as has the above mentioned other Teas, all loose leaf. Enjoy!

Not my kind of green tea.
I love trying new green teas. But I didn’t care for the flavor of this one. The aftertaste seems like some sort of cake icing flavor.
-
Delightful aromas and flavors! Top-tier, interesting brew.
What a kick - a great flavored pick-me-up in the early morning! Opening the pouch frees delightful aromas. Brewed as suggested, this blend furnishes a smooth, suede soft, complex flavorful cup. A very nice change of pace from more typical lovely matcha, sencha, and Japanese tencha teas.

A family favorite
Everyone in my house loves this tea and it's great hot or cold, hope it comes back into stock!

OK, But Not Really for Me
To me, this sample has a kind of indefinable caramel and/or vanilla fragrance (before brewing) and flavor (as brewed). I drink my tea without sweetener or cream, and this tastes a bit sweet to me. The recommendation in the description is “delicious as an iced tea,” so that’s how I tried it. It’s not horrible, but neither do I like it well enough to buy a regular size. In fact, I will probably give it away to someone who might like it better than I do.

not the best
Tea not bad. But what make this tea so blue? Flowers? I doubt. Taste a little sweet.

Blue Suede Shoes Indeed! A Total Surprise.
I love it. A wonderful tasting green tea. No bitter aftertaste. Along with sweet I got a fuzzy vanilla taste from the mix that was added to the green tea(rose hip, blue pea flowers, blue cornflowers, hawthorn fruit and natural flavors). The blue color of the infused tea makes me smile and I'm old enough to have that song buzzing through my head as I'm enjoying a cup or 2. A keeper.

Pleasant surprise
I bought this tea based on the name & it was a green tea. This tea is amazing! i love it's natural sweetness (no sugar). I shared Blue Suede Shoes with several of my tea shop's customers & it has become a new fave for each of them.
