Keemun Panda China black tea

Of all the China black teas available Keemun Panda #1 is probably one of the best known. Keemun is one of the congou-type teas; meaning it requires a great deal of gongfu, (disciplined skill) to make into fine taut strips without breaking the leaves. Interestingly the characters in the written Chinese script for time and labor are the same as those used for "gongfu".

Young Pu-erh

A great loose leaf Pu erh, our Young Pu erh tea leaves are picked, rolled, and withered in the hot sun. Afterward, the tea is steamed and pressed into cakes. It is then broken up out of the cakes to make it easier to deal with. The steaming process creates some moisture, and when the cakes are compressed without drying, the tea takes on a musty, earthy character.

Indian spiced chai tea loose leaf

This tea is based on a premium black tea from Sri Lanka, blended with cardamom, cloves, coriander, cumin seed, sweet cumin seeds, curry leaves, lemon grass, rampe leaves. Best enjoyed with milk, and sugar to taste. Chai is so prevalent in India and Sri Lanka that it could be called the 'National drink'.

Mim Estate tea loose leaf

This is a 2nd flush Darjeeling, grown at 6800 feet above sea level. The tea has a distinctive ‘Muscatel’ character, with a hint of currant and an almost wine-like taste. It come from Mim in northern India, where you can see the tip of mount Everest on a clear day.
