The White Tea blend from English Tea Store produces an amber brew, and has a jammy/malty taste that is closer to medium black tea than green tea. This tea proved very popular with our test group of tea drinkers, even converting some from long time favorites like English Breakfast and Earl Grey. With a great taste and 3 times more antioxidants compared to black or green tea, this tea is really worth a try.

This tea is made from Pai Mu Tan white tea, which is the highest grade of white tea available before one enters the stratosphere in pricing for white teas such as Peony White Needle Tea. Pai Mu Tan leaves are plucked from a special varietal tea bush called Narcissus or chaicha bushes. The leaves are not steamed or pan-fired (the process used in green teas). The leaves are naturally withered and dried in the sun. Also, only special two leaves and a bud are selected. These leaves must show a very light green, almost gray white color and be covered with velvet peach fuzz down. This tea is processed to a smaller leaf size to improve infusion.

Has a real good taste. Makes the best ice tea. And real high in antioxidants. White T normally has lower caffeine the green or black tea.

      Excellent Tea for Good Health

Posted by James H. Dautremont on May 20th 2021

This tea is very high in antioxidents. I have no doubt that it has contributed to my good health. I drink it strong. It is never bitter. I use a tad of honey with my tea sometimes. Yum. Yum. I buy several pounds at a time in order to get free shipping. Such a deal! Highly recommended.

Very healthy product. I have no doubt that it is good for my overall health. It is delicious -- especially with a bit of honey mixed in.
