Kambaa Estate Tea

The Kambaa Estate Tea blend from English Tea Store has a very malty flavor with light hints of currant. Tea was introduced to Kenya only after India gained independence in 1947. At that time, a number of tea planters emigrated to the country which was then still part of the British Empire. Despite a ban on the transfer of plants and husbandry information, these planters brought tea bushes with them to start new gardens. The Indian plants soon began to thrive in the Kenyan climate, particularly east of the Rift Valley.

98% or more of this tea comes from estates that are part of the Ethical Tea Partnership. The ETP is an initiative started within the tea industry to monitor and regulate living and working conditions on estates around the world.

A Good Tea Indeed

"I really enjoy this tea- bold but with a unique flavor. Think an estate Assam meets a slightly floral Kenya with a good dash of working man's CTC and you get a rich morning brew that works well with milk and sugar."

Kambaa Estate Tea - Loose Leaf

"A great value in a Kenya tea. A great everyday breakfast tea for those who like a strong full-bodied brew with little bitterness or astringency. Great with milk and a little sugar. Not as fragrent as the best Kenya teas but otherwise top notch."

Strong robust tea

"My all time favorite tea. Buying Kambaa for years now and the quality and taste have been consistent. Love the dark color and strong taste. I take it with half & half. A double strong Kambaa is the only remedy that works when I get a bad headache, even works with migraines."
