      Hearty and delicious

A flavorful and satisfying blend, plenty heart enough for breakfast without any bitterness. Be aware that you're not getting whole leaves, so you'll need an infuser with a fine mesh.

      Irish Breakfast Tea

We are used to seeing little squiggly leaves when we buy our Irish Breakfast or Assam Tea. We didn't expect the tea to be so pulverized. At first we found that it went through our strainers a bit. The dry tea is a texture I would expect for tea bags. Otherwise, it tastes fine.

      Full Flavored Tea

I like this tea a lot. It has a deep rich flavor that I really enjoy, wonderful with milk, is organic, and reasonably priced. It is, as others have said, processed finer than most teas so you will need a strainer with extra small holes if you don't like little bits of "tea dust" in your cup. I find that it hardly matters because it is so fine. But a tea strainer with smaller holes will do the trick.

This tea has a delicious distinctive flavor.....as some people described, somewhat "malty". It is ground finer than most teas I've encountered. If you don't want some powdery residue left in your cup, just buy a tea strainer with smaller holes.....that's what I did and it works great. Highly recommend this tea.

An Interesting Tea with a Good Flavor

Posted by Rocco on Aug 7th 2020

I have tried a few different Irish Breakfast Teas over a number of years as it is my favorite blend. This is by far the most interesting. The tea has a strong, malty flavor without ever being bitter, even towards the end of the bag. The tea is quite dusty, and while dustiness in a tea is usually a sign of a lower quality and more bitter brew, I found the dust to be an asset. It provides a nice kick of caffeine as I find myself consuming quite a bit of the dust at the end of the cup. The tea can take an impressive amount of milk and sugar without losing flavor. Overall, a great blend of Irish Breakfast, and an excellent addition to your Irish Breakfast rotation.

I'm used to CTC teas being "in your face", but this tea had very little going on.
