The Blood Orange Flavored Black Tea blend from English Tea Store has an intense and flavorful fresh citrus character with a delicate sweetness reminiscent of freshly squeezed oranges.
Bite into a fresh blood orange and you'll also find that the taste is slightly sweeter than their more common counterparts. As a sweet all natural addition to our high-grown Ceylon tea, the blood orange infuses pleasing citrus notes that help round out the natural astringency of the tea. As with most of our flavored teas, this one is superb when poured over ice.

First time trying English Tea Store's Blood Orange Flavored Black Loose Leaf Tea?
Try our Sample Size of 1 ounce.- Contents loose leaf tea net weight 4 ounces
- Contents loose leaf tea net weight 16 ounces (1 pound)
Caffeine content: Medium - This tea contains natural caffeine found in the L. Camellia Sinensis family. A cup of black tea steeped in boiled water for 5 minutes will contain between 27 to 35 milligrams of caffeine. An equal sized cup of coffee will contain between 80 - 100 milligrams of caffeine. Caffeine quickly becomes soluble in very hot water. If you wish to reduce the caffeine level in this tea, briefly rinsing the tea leaves in extremely hot water will reduce the caffeine content between 25-50% with only a minor effect on taste.
Antioxidant Content: High - The longer you steep your tea the more polyphenols will be extracted. (Test results based on 5 minutes steeping time. Polyphenol percentages may fluctuate with lot, grade of tea, testing method, temperature of water and freshness of tea). More antioxidants are extracted from tea (L. Camellia Sinesis) the longer it is brewed. And the more tea is used, the greater the antioxidant benefit.

My favorite citrus tea
My husband and I love earl grey, and we tend to enjoy uncomplicated, straightforward flavors. This tea has a nice round body and a very clear blood orange flavor. It has become our new morning tea whenever we want to change it up from earl grey.

A favorite of mine
I have a few favorite teas from this company and this one ranks among them. This tea has a wonderful aroma, and the taste of orange is present but subtle enough to not be fruity. It is a delightful tea suitable for morning and afternoon.

Very yummy,A superior taste for those who want to try a different tea
I am shocked to see such a great selection of teas at this company. It is unusual for me to try a t that I do not like. When I do find such a t I always have a friend who just loves it. This tea is enjoyed by everyone including myself make it a little strong I like it with sugar and iced.
-
comforting and invigorating
I am more familiar with orange and spice blends of tea, so I worried the taste may be rather bland, especially with the emphasis on its sweetness. Instead, I found this pungent with orange, politely assertive, including its slight acidity underneath the sweet.
-
Wonderful Fragrance, Odd Aftertaste
While I am relatively new to the loose tea world, I have been french pressing fresh coffee for years, so the difference in flavor between processed and unprocessed hot, steeped drinks is nothing new. I brew my tea, like my coffee, at 200 degrees F, this way I avoid burning/boiling and the subsequent bitterness associated with too hot water. That being said, the aroma from the blood orange tea was great, the color, nice and deep. However, for me the flavor didn't live up to the fragrance, and there was an odd aftertaste, not bad, just odd.

Great fragrance, slightly bitter undertones
This tea has a wonderful fragrance and clear citrus taste. There's a slightly bitter undertone that you may like or dislike, depending on your preferences. While I most often drink flavored teas in the evening, this one is good during the daytime, too.

Blood Orange Flavored Black Tea Review
Ok, no fancy adjectives here. This is probably the finest of this type of tea blend I have ever enjoyed in over 40 years of consuming teas. The flavor and aroma are superb. The taste is awesome. Much more satisfying and better quality than similar store blends in baggies.
