      Not a Bad Cuppa

Posted by Risa on Jun 9th 2021

... but maybe not the best, either. I was way excited to see this product available, as have fond memories of my first cup in the Bewley's tea room in Dublin and it's been hard to get here in California. Since I had it last, I'm afraid organic loose leaf Assams, Ceylons, and Darjeelings have rather spoiled me. The Bewley's flavour was good, but its smaller, more gritty "leaf" simply didn't make as fine a pot as my other options.

I love my tea and especially Bewleys tea. The flavor is light and smooth and I can make as big or as little a pot as I want.

      Excellent afternoon tea

This is just an all around good black tea. It’s very strong with a slight Peaty flavor. Pars well with milk and sugar. Enjoy!

      Nice Tea

I was looking for a nice tea to have in the afternoons and this is very good. It's a tad strong but with some sugar and milk it is perfect.

      Our favorite by far

My wife and I were introduced to this tea through a friend over 20 years ago. It was the best black tea we had ever tasted, and we have been drinking it almost exclusively since then. Make it as strong as you like and it will not be bitter at all. You have got to try it!

      Not tea leaves

Imagine my surprise to open and find tiny pellets of tea, NOT LEAVES. I last bought Bewley's Irish Breakfast Loose Tea and am delighted with it. It is exactly how I remember the tea at breakfast in Ireland. It has nice long leaves. NOT this afternoon tea that says it is loose leaf. There are NO leaves at all; just pellets.
