Unexpected flavor
"I was expecting a coffee flavor, but to me it tasted like Earl Grey. . . and I don't care for earl grey. Besides a coffee bean or two the were tiny light yellow leaves I have no idea what they were."

The Coffee or Tea Flavored Pur-erh blend from English Tea Store is the combination of aged Pu-erh, pure Ethiopian Coffee, and a dash of Kerala Cocoa. The results are a surprisingly delicious and wonderfully brisk. You'll taste the earthy tones of Pu-erh that is balanced by the nutty smoothness of coffee and the mellow mouth-feel of sweet chocolate.
Research shows that unbrewed tea actually contains more caffeine than coffee. During the brewing process, caffeine in tea is watered down more effectively than coffee.
Ingredients: Black tea, Black Tea (Pu-erh style), Cocoa beans, Green coffee beans, Ground coffee, Camomile petals, Natural flavors (organic compliant)
Caffeine Content: Medium - This tea contains natural caffeine found in the L. Camellia Sinensis family. A cup of black tea steeped in boiled water for 5 minutes will contain between 27 to 35 milligrams of caffeine. An equal sized cup of coffee will contain between 80 - 100 milligrams of caffeine. Caffeine quickly becomes soluble in very hot water. If you wish to reduce the caffeine level in this tea, briefly rinsing the tea leaves in extremely hot water will reduce the caffeine content between 25-50% with only a minor effect on taste.
Antioxidant Content: Medium - polyphenols by dry weight. The longer you steep your tea the more polyphenols will be extracted. (Test results based on 5 minutes steeping time. Polyphenol percentages may fluctuate with lot, grade of tea, testing method, temperature of water and freshness of tea). More antioxidants are extracted from tea (L. Camellia Sinesis) the longer it is brewed. And the more tea is used, the greater the antioxidant benefit.
Now you don't have to choose between your morning coffee or tea

"I gave up coffee a while ago, preferring the even feeling of caffeine from tea. Of course the smell and flavor of coffee are still nice. With this tea, I get some of that craving met, with a delicious strong tea that I'd choose over coffee any day! Always drink hot with cream and sugar."

"I bought this on a whim after reading about the health benefits of pu-erh teas. I was delightfully surprised to find I absolutely love it! I have just a few teas that make it into that category. It is full and smooth, robust but not too astringent. It is an excellent subsitute for coffee for me, and mixes up my normal tea routines. I highly recommend it!"

"I bought the 1oz sample of Coffee/Tea Pu-erh on a whim. I had never heard of Pu-erh before. Anyway, when you open the packet, it smells kind of like cherry pipe tobacco (like when your grandpa opened the can to load his pipe. . . ). After brewing it tastes a little like cascara (dried coffee cherries brewed like tea) with a splash of coffee. Then I added a bit of cream and it was so good (it's also really good with vanilla creamer). Give it a try. I think it's one of my new favorites. ."
