      Top afternoon tea

Posted by Richelle Lightfoot on Sep 8th 2020

If you want a great afternoon tea this is the one to try. There is a reason Darjeeling is often referred to as the champagne of teas. I would strongly recommend trying it.

      Darjeeling fine loose leaf tea

This makes excellent iced tea. I put it in cool water and set it on my counter and the next day it is ready.

Best black tea on the market. Very mellow but can be made as strong or weak as you like. I brew 1 tsp.. per cup whether making just one cup at a time, or a whole pot. English Tea Store has the best tea at the best prices.

      Excellent!

I always brew my tea in a teapot. I don't waste time with infusers and other things. I put two tea spoons in one cup of boiled water. It floats over my tongue like a cloud! It's mild and so very, very pleasant. Brew and drink it the way it was meant to be.

      Great tea.

I have bought this tea several times. I use a coffee press for all my loose leaf tea and have never had a problem with how fine it is. Add a little more to the pot for stronger tea. I drink my tea without milk or sugar and Darjeeling is one of my favorites.

      Very disappointed in this tea!

Posted by Kathleen on Jun 19th 2018

This is extremely fine! I used it in my infuser and had a half cup full of grit! I didn't realize, when it said "fine loose tea" it meant ground really fine. I thought it meant "fine" as in "very good". The flavor was very weak. Extremely disappointed in this tea! I have been buying my tea from English Tea Store for years. This is the first time I purchased their Darjeeling. My husband had previously purchased Darjeeling from another source and we liked it very much. Unfortunately, I didn't check the reviews before purchasing this tea from English Tea Store. It's best suited for the compost pile!

      Too Finely Ground

Posted by kwixote on Apr 3rd 2018

It's hard to say what the taste of this tea might be because it is too finely ground to stay in a conventional strainer. Not very practical. Probably good for a "gunpowder" tea or intense Turkish tea, but otherwise it's just sitting in my tea box unused.

      Will not reorder

This tea has a nice flavor but is a mess to brew with due to its texture. It is a virtual powder that finds its way throughout my Breville Hot Tea Maker. Quite a mess to clean up. Will not reorder this tea.
