First time trying English Tea Store's British Earl Grey Flavored White Leaf Tea?
Try our Sample Size of 1 ounce.- Contents loose leaf tea net weight 2 ounces
- Contents loose leaf tea net weight 8 ounces (.5 pound)
Caffeine content: Low - This tea contains natural caffeine found in the L. Camellia Sinensis family. A cup of black tea steeped in boiled water for 5 minutes will contain between 27 to 35 milligrams of caffeine. An equal sized cup of coffee will contain between 80 - 100 milligrams of caffeine. Caffeine quickly becomes soluble in very hot water. If you wish to reduce the caffeine level in this tea, briefly rinsing the tea leaves in extremely hot water will reduce the caffeine content between 25-50% with only a minor effect on taste.
Antioxidant Content: Medium. The longer you steep your tea the more polyphenols will be extracted. (Test results based on 5 minutes steeping time. Polyphenol percentages may fluctuate with lot, grade of tea, testing method, temperature of water and freshness of tea). More antioxidants are extracted from tea (L. Camellia Sinesis) the longer it is brewed. And the more tea is used, the greater the antioxidant benefit.

Dreadful
I agree with the dried oak leaves. Not a hint of Earl Grey nor even tea for that matter. I can only hope that there has been some kind of mistake made as I cannot imagine why anybody would have the audacity to try to sell this as tea.
-
Good but not a replacement for Earl Grey Flavored White Tea
A Pleasant tea not overly flavored gets a little tanninie if seeps too long.
-
No bergamot flavor
It tastes like dried crushed oak leaves. Awful tea. Sadly nothing like Teavanas

Worst tea flavor
I have been looking for a tea to replace Teavanas earl grey white and was excited to find this tea. Unfortunately it is nothing like Teavanas tea. Very blah with no bergamot flavor at all. The same goes for the regular earl grey tea as well. I will not be purchasing them again.

What I was looking for
My daughter fell in love with Tevana's white earl gray. We have been in search of a replacement since they went out of business. She finally stated we can stop the search this is the one. Will be on permanent re-order.

Dissappointing!
I've been drinking Earl Grey WHITE for years from Teavana. Since they are soon closing all the stores, they have sold out their Earl Grey WHITE. I am looking for some other sources for this tea now. This does not taste like earl grey at all. It's definitely lacking in bergamot and citrus flavor. It taste like regular black tea. I would not purchase this again.

It's okay
I bought the one ounce samplers, and they're a pretty good deal. A lot of tea is in the package. But it has a slightly bitter taste I haven't experienced with other earl greys. Pretty tasty though.
