  • Details

Darjeeling is often referred to as "The Champagne of Teas" because of its fine quality and subtle "muscatel" wine like flavor. A particularly good afternoon tea, this tea is best served without milk or sugar.

Darjeeling tea leaves come from the highest gardens in the foothills of the Himalayas at heights of around 6,000-7,000 feet. The slow rate of growth and climatic conditions in this region produce smaller crops of excellent quality.

Net Weight: 4.4 ounces (124 grams)

    Ingredients: Black Darjeeling tea

Darjeeling is the "Queen" of teas

Posted by IndyLady on Jun 6th 2020

Darjeeling has the nicest smell when brewing. For some reason, I think of it as a papery smell--I'm not sure why, but I just inhale it and breathe. It is so special for afternoon tea time. I love strong Assam in the morning, but always delicate Darjeeling in the afternoon.

      Pleasant surprise

Received this by mistake; I had ordered Scottish Breakfast. Made a cup one afternoon (which is not my custom as I usually only take tea in the morning) and I was very impressed with the aroma, clear flavors and lack of bitterness.
