Imported from the UK, have a delicious treat with a traditional plum pudding from Matthew Walker. This delicious blend is a combination of the finest fruits and a unique blend of spices, cognac, and a local stout, plus currants and brandy to make a perfectly moist and fruity pudding.

Matthew Walker's Luxury Christmas Pudding is made of 13 core ingredients which represent Jesus and his twelve apostles. Traditionally, Christmas Puddings are prepared in British households on or around Advent. As the pudding is prepared, everyone in the household, including children, make a wish as they stir the mixture.

Plum Pudding is a steamed or boiled pudding. It is made by combining nutmegs, raisins, nuts, apples, cinnamon, dates, and many other ingredients to a batter. You'll notice plums are not listed. The pre-Victorians used the word "plums" as a term for raisins. More like a cake, plum pudding has also been called plum duff. It has to be quite a treat for it to have been outlawed during the Puritan reign in England because it was considered "sinfully rich".

We recommend serving your Plum pudding with clotted or devon cream, or brandy butter.

    The Matthew Walker's Luxury Christmas Pudding no 13 - 14.1oz (400g) serves 4.

Net Weight: 14.1 ounces (400 grams)

Ingredients: Sultanas, raisins, currants (32%), cider (11%), demerara sugar, sugar, breadcrumbs (wheat flour, wholemeal wheat flour, wheat germ, yeast, salt), palm oil, brandy (4%), glace cherries (4%) (cherries, glucose-fructose syrup, colour: anthocyanin, acidity regulator: citric acid, preservative: sulphur dioxid), rum (3%), rusk (wheat flour, salt), wheat flour, sherry (2%), almonds, walnuts, orange and lemon peel, molasses, mixed spice, salt.

      Best Christmas Pudding Ever

It has been a family tradition for years to have Plum Pudding / Christmas Pudding every year on Christmas. No one ever liked the plum pudding, other than the part of soaking it in brandy and lighting it, and only wanted the traditional homemade custard we serve with it. We have not had the Christmas pudding now for over 15 years, but decided to bring it back this year. I ordered this Christmas Pudding, and for the first time, everyone loved it! They couldn't get over how good it was and were surprised at how much they liked it! Definitely plan to order from here again next year!

      Good, but not Great

All my life I have had Cross and Blackwell Plum Pudding for Christmas Dinner (with a buttery hard sauce). This was good tasting, but not as good as Cross and Blackwell (and that was the general consensus of all 15 people at dinner.

      Saved by your Christmas pudding

So a week before Christmas our holiday host said she'd like me to bring our traditional Christmas pudding for dessert. No problem. I'll just make it, I thought. Can't be that hard. Except that the recipe said I needed to start at least 3 months before. Ok, so there's still Christmas stores all over the place so I'll just run out to the store and pick one up. Not only did they not have them, I had to describe what a Christmas pudding was. You should have seen me dancing around trying to describe it. Finally I jumped online and discovered most sites were out. Lucky for me, I happened upon your site. You all saved the day by rushing the Christmas pudding to us. I ordered two and one was enough for our group so we're saving the other one for next year. While a tad bit dry, it was still delicious ... especially with my killer hard sauce. :-) Not sure, but I think my Mom used to order her Christmas Pudding from you for years. Thank you very much for saving our Christmas with your Christmas Pudding.

My mom used to make this from scratch at Christmas. I have tried to make it also with pretty fair results but my grown son loved it. So this year he requested a XMass Pudding & I used your Walker's #13. It was a great success- just not big enough. Going to get more plus try the Yorkshire Pudding Mix.
