Fruit Curd

All of the jams and marmalade sold through our website are made with real fruit. We carry Hartley's Best Jam, known for being a smooth spread with no fruit bits; Robertson's, including Gold Shred marmalade; and Frank Cooper's, supposedly the Queen's favorite marmalade which is served in British embassies across the globe. Marmalade is made with Seville oranges, which explains its sweet and bitter taste. It is best served for breakfast with fresh, crusty bread or toast. Lemon curd, another spread that goes well on toast and scones, is a combination of cooked cream, eggs, sugar, and lemon juice and zest, making it more buttery in taste than pie filling. In some confections, it can be used as a thick, sweet filling as well.
