Grown exclusively within the steep, sun-drenched valleys of the Darjeeling district in West Bengal, India, these delicate Camellia sinensis plants thrive at elevations up to 4,000 feet. While traditional black Darjeeling undergoes a rigorous four-stage process of withering, rolling, oxidation, and drying, the region’s unique leaf material allows our Tea Masters to craft rare variations. Our Green Darjeeling skips oxidation entirely to preserve fresh, grassy-sweet antioxidants, while our rare White Darjeeling consists only of hand-plucked, sun-withered downy buds for a silk-smooth, ethereal mouthfeel. To fully appreciate the complex top notes of a premium estate Darjeeling, tea connoisseurs strongly advise enjoying the infusion entirely neat—free from the addition of milk, sugar, or lemon. To steep loose leaf perfectly, bring fresh water to a rolling boil (100°C) and infuse one teaspoon of leaves per cup for precisely two to three minutes in a pre-heated porcelain or glass teapot.
