The Earl Grey CO2 Decaffeinated Tea blend from English Tea Store is a full flavoury cup with excellent Earl Grey notes from natural oil of bergamot. A true Earl Grey taste without the caffeine.

The Canadian Chemical Free CO2 Process removes caffeine without using chemicals of any sort. Instead, finished tea is briefly soaked in exceptionally pure water and gently flushed with CO2. The CO2 binds to the caffeine molecules and extracts them from the tea leaving behind all the natural proteins that give tea its flavor. It also leaves many of the polyphenols and antioxidants intact - so it's still good for you.

    How to Make Tea

Earl Grey CO2 Decaffeinated Tea is gluten free, as well as nuts, wheat, crustacea, eggs, milk/dairy, sulfites, and soy lecithin free. This tea is packed at a factory that has nuts on the premises.

Antioxidant Content: Medium - 5.00 - 7.49% polyphenols by dry weight. The longer you steep your tea the more polyphenols will be extracted. (Test results based on 5 minutes steeping time. Polyphenol percentages may fluctuate with lot, grade of tea, testing method, temperature of water and freshness of tea). More antioxidants are extracted from tea (L. Camellia Sinesis) the longer it is brewed. And the more tea is used, the greater the antioxidant benefit.

      The Best Decaf Earl Grey

Posted by OsteoTeaLover on Dec 30th 2019

This tea is absolutely delicious. When I first tried it years ago, I was comparing it to the regular Earl Grey (which I also love). Actually, this one seemed to have more flavor! Then I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis and you can't have caffeine! That gave me all the more reason to love this tea. It has a very full flavor and beats hands down any Earl Grey tea bags you can find elsewhere. It also has a very reasonable price. I'm more than a fan! Check it out!

      Wonderful Earl Grey

Posted by Farns on Dec 6th 2018

Recently ordered this decaf Earl Grey, and am more than pleasantly surprised with how flavorful this tea is! I find that it is robust enough to enjoy in the morning, without really missing the caffeine. Contrary to a few of the other reviews, I find the addition of the lavender quite wonderful, and just enough of the bergamot to be really satisfying. I love it with a cashew/almond nut milk and honey! Very pleased, and will definitely order more!

      Great Decaf

My husband drinks this tea with all his meals and enjoys the aroma and flavor. It is outstanding and he has been drinking it for several years. He had throat cancer/radiation and must drink warm liquids when eating, I like this decaf process for him to enjoy.

      Not as described

Posted by LoveEarlGrey on Mar 20th 2018

Total waste of money! Product was not as described. Tea was contaminated with purple and yellow flower petals which were not mentioned in the description. Now I stuck with an unopened one pound bag of useless tea. $32 dollars totally wasted. Comment from English Tea Store: Please note, under the "Details and Brewing Instructions" link, are the ingredients for the tea mentioning the cornflower petals. These petals are the "purple and yellow flower petals" that were referred to in your review. Thank you.

      Not really Earl Grey

Earl Grey is a black tea containing oil of bergamot. This tea has lavender in it. It has a very strong floral taste and no oil of bergamot can be detected. I was unable to finish even one cup and am disappointed . If you are looking for straight Earl Grey, this tea will disappoint you. Additionally, I contacted customer service, got an acknowledgement of my email, but no response to the issue. This was my first order with this company. So far, I do not recommend them.

      My Favorite Decaf Earl Grey

This is a very nice decaf version of Earl Grey. It does not give me the caffeine buzz that regular black tea does. When the spirit moves I turn it into a double bergamot tea by adding one drop of bergamot essential oil to the cup. Yum!
