First time trying English Tea Store's Earl Grey CO2 Decaf Loose Leaf Tea? Try our Sample Size of 1 ounce.
The Earl Grey CO2 Decaffeinated Tea blend from English Tea Store is a full flavoury cup with excellent Earl Grey notes from natural oil of bergamot. A true Earl Grey taste without the caffeine.
The Canadian Chemical Free CO2 Process removes caffeine without using chemicals of any sort. Instead, finished tea is briefly soaked in exceptionally pure water and gently flushed with CO2. The CO2 binds to the caffeine molecules and extracts them from the tea leaving behind all the natural proteins that give tea its flavor. It also leaves many of the polyphenols and antioxidants intact - so it's still good for you.
Contents loose leaf tea net weight 1 ounces
Earl Grey CO2 Decaffeinated Tea is gluten free, as well as nuts, wheat, crustacea, eggs, milk/dairy, sulfites, and soy lecithin free. This tea is packed at a factory that has nuts on the premises.
Antioxidant Content: Medium - 5.00 - 7.49% polyphenols by dry weight. The longer you steep your tea the more polyphenols will be extracted. (Test results based on 5 minutes steeping time. Polyphenol percentages may fluctuate with lot, grade of tea, testing method, temperature of water and freshness of tea). More antioxidants are extracted from tea (L. Camellia Sinesis) the longer it is brewed. And the more tea is used, the greater the antioxidant benefit.

All time favorite
Early grey is my all-time favorite tea and this one did not disappoint. It's lovely visually and the scent and taste are great. I immediately had to go order a full bag after trying my sample.

Decaf Earl Grey tea
Bergamot too strong for my liking. So I cut it with another black tea. Then it is pretty good.

Earl Grey Decaf
I reckon this is a very good tea. With this and other samples of Earl Grey, I have decided that I don't like the citrus flavor (bergamot) so very much. So, my review may not be very helpful.
-
Delicious!
It was great to find good tasting tea leaves that are decaffeinated.
-
Personal Preference
I'm sure the Earl Grey tea is good -- just not my "cup of tea".
