A "Must" with Eggs!
Reviewer:  C. Richardson
Marmite is not for the faint of heart . . . on first introduction it can be quite strong. However, thinly spread on buttered toast, its savory, both salty and peppery flavor is the PERFECT complement to eggs. Children in England grow up eating toast "soldiers" and Marmite, as Americans eat toast and jam.

My Mate Marmite!!

I love this stuff!! but just to warn you it is quite strong stuff. i live in the UK and am british born and bread and i love the stuff. Its best served on toast with plenty of butter. Marmite sandwiches are great as well. it is also great to add to a stew or cassarole for a bit more flavour. but as the advert says you will either love it or you’ll hate it, and this is soooo true i dont think ive met many people who think its "alright!"

I had a sampling of this stuff at a friends house and at first it was terribly odd in flavor. It is NOT your typical Americanized product! Now I can’t get enough of it! I would say at best, don’t base your opinion on the first try. Give your pallet time to adjust and you’ll see the beauty in it.

Marmite - mighty tasty stuff!
Reviewer:  Teresa
A British friend of mine introduced me to Marmite, and now I’m hooked. In addition to buttered toast, I have tried it in pasta, on hard boiled eggs, and a very tiny bit in potato soup. I’ve loved it in every experiment. I suspect it would make a good base for soup stock. That will be my next experiment. I’ll just need to find a bigger jar!
