English Marmalade
English or Scottish Marmalade is a preserve made from oranges and sugar. Marmalade is normally served on toast at breakfast time in most British households. Marmalade normally is made from bitter Seville oranges which give it a strong citrus taste. Often sliced or chopped orange peel is included, for example "Thick Cut" means the marmalade has thick slices of orange peel. Some of the best marmalade historically comes from the city of Dundee in Scotland, where marmalade has been produced since the 1700s.
Marmalade can also be made from lemons and limes.
