Our teabags are English style without strings and tags, and with 3.1g of tea. This is 50% more tea than US style string and tag tea bags, which only have 2.1g of tea. We also like the English style better for brewing tea in a teapot, as the strings do not tangle around our spoon when stirring the tea.

Valued Customer: In the wake of the disaster in Japan, we had concerned customers contacting us about when our Japanese teas were harvested and brought into our warehouse in Pennsylvania. Our vendors receive their tea after it is harvested in late summer, early fall. They receive enough inventory to supply their customers for 18 months. Japan’s season is currently winter and was not harvesting their tea at the time of the disaster.
