Definatly a strong malty tea. Pours very dark and really should be drunk with milk and sugar. The description is not correct in connection to Barry’s gold blend. It is much stronger and is clearly Kenyan and an assam blend. It pours darker and is very different from their Gold blend. Worthy of a taste. It is the strongest Irish breakfast tea I have had. It is stronger than Twinings and Taylors of Harrogate Scottish and English blends by far.

Definitely one of the my favorite teas! The Irish Breakfast tea (or "original blend") tends to be overshadowed by Barry’s Gold blend, but I like this one better. Nice and strong, I prefer it black, myself.
