Description

Oolong Orange Blossom Estate Tea - Loose Leaf Pouches

The Oolong Orange Blossom Estate Tea blend from English Tea Store is a wildly exotic tea with a toasty roundness and fruity jasmine notes.

The blend was created using a semi-fermented oolong from Taiwan known for a lively, full flavor with hints of berry jam and sweet floral undertones. After extensive profiling, the flavor of orange blossom was recreated using a mix of jasmine and dried orange pieces which is added to the tea. Rounding out the blend is a Ceylon black tea for some added depth.

50% or more of this tea comes from estates that are part of the Ethical Tea Partnership. The ETP is an initiative started within the tea industry to monitor and regulate living and working conditions on estates around the world.

Lovely, fragrant blend. Just enough orange to give a light citrus flavor without overwhelming the tea. Not artificial or sharp.

Bitter- fragrant Review by Cynthia

First off I thought I was going crazy when I sat down to drink this oolong. It tastes just like black tea! Then I went back and retread the description and whew ok it does have black tea in it - I am not going crazy (at least not presently). Ok so I had brewed it with a xizing pot which requires more tea but gives up many more infusions. It does not work well with this tea. On my next attempt I will do good old fashioned porcelain cup at less than boiling water for 2 minutes. With the xizing even tough I'm brewing only 20s then 30 s then 40s it still only gave up 3 good brews. So I expect I'll get 2 good brews with the cup version at longer periods but with much less tea. The tea itself is bitter (at least brewing it gong fu style). It smells very orangey out of the bag and brewing. I was scared it was going to be like a pop cycle it smelled so sweet but it's not sweet, it's just fragrant. Which I like. I hope it's not going to be bitter brewed english style.

My initial reaction to the Oolong Orange Blossom Estate tea was a suprise at its bitterness; however, the fault lay with me not the tea. I had brewed the tea too long and in too hot of water. Three to four minutes is all the time this tea requires, and the water should be allowed to sit for a few minutes after being brought to a boil.<br>The flavor of correctly brewed tea is delightful hot or iced. The orange compliments the oolong delicately without overpowering its flavor. Use a delicate touch with Oolong Orange Blossom

This was my first time I bought this tea, although I heard so much about this "Oolong". So, I’m quite impressed with flavor. Very pleasant taste and aftertaste. Not too "orangee" - just right. Moderate and distinguished at the same time. Definitely will buy more. Excellent Tea!

I bought a special Chinese Yixing teapot just for this tea. You can only put one kind of tea in a Yixing teapot. My choice was your Oolong Orange Blossom tea. Wow! It makes a prefect cup of tea.....the tea has just the right amount of jasmine in without overpowering the other flavors in the tea. It had a smooth taste to it. I will buy a pound of it the next time I run out of this tea. A great tea to pamper yourself or have for a morning cup of tea. A Refreshing Tea
